Los Angeles civil rights lawyer Leo Terrell ripped President Biden over what he considered hackneyed or “racist” remarks during a campaign speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, earlier Tuesday .

Biden spoke just down US-11 from his hometown of Scranton, and regaled the crowd with references to his childhood while making political points.

The president said his father, Joe Biden Sr., would go hunting in the nearby Pocono Mountains when young Joe was growing up, adding that hunters like Joe Sr. never needed semi-automatic rifles to hunt:

“How many deer are wearing Kevlar vests? he asked, adding that he had “two shotguns at home [and] I’m not against guns.”

At another point, Biden appeared to reference his work as a lifeguard in the largely minority northeast section of Wilmington, Del. He said he was “the only guy who worked as a lifeguard in the area” of the aquatic center that now bears his name.

“You know you can always tell where the best basketball in the state is and the best basketball in the city. That’s where everybody shows up,” he added.

Biden previously raised his eyebrows when discussing his lifeguard tenure, when he recounted in 2017 run-ins with alleged local gang leader ‘Corn Pop’ and how the sun would bleach his blonde hair while he was sitting on the guard post.

On “Hannity,” Terrell said his comments were further examples of alleged racism, saying Biden’s basketball reference was particularly infuriating:

“It’s so racist. He’s the only white one? Basketball – Lots of black people? Joe Biden in a 1955 distortion,” he said.

“His stories are old, outdated and don’t make sense. And it’s insulting.”

Terrell, whose hometown was ravaged by riots in 2020, said Biden also declared support for more police on the streets, but said nothing about left-wing activists causing chaos in Los Angeles and beyond.

“Don’t go on TV and talk about law enforcement. When you’re not talking about the summer riots – when you’re not calling BLM – when you’re not calling them by their first and last names; the team, Antifa [or] what this city and this country have been through for three years. He didn’t mention a word of the riots. He didn’t mention that Kamala Harris was funding bail to get the criminals out.”

Terrell said Biden was even more dishonest in claiming that he and Democrats support defunding the police, pointing out that liberal mayors are defunding departments. The lawyer said the consequences of Bill de Blasio’s tenure in New York are proof of what is happening with bidenesque governance in this regard.

“He thinks we’re stupid. No, he doesn’t understand. People know what’s been going on for the last three years,” Terrell said.

Biden is expected to deliver another stump speech in Pennsylvania later this week, when he speaks during prime time from Independence Mall in Philadelphia.

About a day later, former President Trump will visit where Biden was on Tuesday and host a rally in support of State Senator Doug Mastriano – the Republican gubernatorial candidate – and Dr. Mehmet Oz, the cardiothoracic surgeon. of the GOP candidate for the United States Senate.
