Khalid Ismail, the current President of Dubai will assume the newly formed role of President of the United Arab Emirates leading the communities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Ismail has been President of the Marketing Society since 2018 and has been the driving force behind the growth of the society which now has over 200 members and has significantly supported and led the society over the past two difficult years.
Amina Taher, Vice President Marketing, Brand & Sponsorships at Etihad Airways has taken over the chairmanship of Abu Dhabi, leading the community which will officially launch in March 2022. The Company has already hosted events as part of its soft launch in the capital with Ellie Norman, Marketing & Communications Director of Formula 1 and confirmed ADNOC as its founding partner.
Taher brings with her over 15 years of branding and marketing experience both internationally and in the UAE. Taher has spent the past eight years working in the aviation industry, serving on the board of the Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) and as an independent director of DXB Entertainments PJSC.
Mohammad Ishmael, a former senior vice president of marketing at Visa, will succeed Khaled as president of Dubai, leading the hub and focusing on accelerating the company’s marketing leadership agenda. He will be assisted by two vice-presidents, Mike Fairburn, Managing Director of Sony Music Entertainment Middle East and Trixie Loh Mirmand, Executive Vice President, Dubai World Trade Centre.
Ismaeel brings with him over 16 years of experience in the financial and banking sector, as well as over 10 years of experience in the FMCG sector. Originally from Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Mohammed was educated in the UK and graduated in economic and political geography from the University of London.
